Thermit Welding, a world leading and strategic supplier to the Rail, Metro and Light Railway Industry, is seeking a Site Facilities Manager. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance of their Rainham, Essex, facility.

What you'll be doing:

  • Day to day maintenance of the manufacturing plant and machinery.
  • Model/Pattern manufacture.
  • Light building maintenance.
  • Occasional production manufacture/fabrication.
  • Provide mentoring to an apprentice.

Skills helpful for the role:

  • Must have either of the following qualifications: City & Guilds or NVQ certifications.
  • Proven Health & Safety knowledge in machine shop practices.
  • Able to operate Pneumatic and Hydraulics equipment.
  • Manual milling & turning, welding (MIG/TIG/ARC), plasma cutting.
  • Ability to understand and work from drawings.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and display own initiative.
  • Forklift truck licence would be an advantage.
