As a Site Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of a highways scheme in Reading. You'll be responsible for ensuring that all works are carried out to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile project while advancing your career in the field of civil engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all on-site engineering activities, including setting out, surveying, and quality control.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, drawings, and as-built documentation.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among the project team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways or infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in using surveying equipment and engineering software.
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
