Job Title: Site Agent - Tier One Contractor

Location: South Birmingham

Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Site Agent to join our clients team and work on a prestigious water project in the South Birmingham area. As a Site Agent, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of the project, ensuring that it is completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the construction site, managing subcontractors, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all on-site activities, including planning, organising, and directing construction operations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on-site.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure work is carried out efficiently and to the required quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress and performance against established schedules and budgets, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, and other project documentation.
  • Liaise with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to address any issues or concerns and provide regular project updates.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, progress photographs, and site diaries.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience working as a Site Agent on large-scale construction projects, preferably within the water sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a multidisciplinary team.
  • Sound understanding of health and safety regulations and a commitment to promoting a culture of safety on-site.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid CSCS card and SMSTS certificate.
