Position Overview:

As a Site Agent, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our Smart Motorways Project. This project involves the implementation of cutting-edge technology and intelligent traffic management systems to optimise the capacity and safety of our nation's roadways. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring the project stays on schedule, within budget, and meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management: Coordinate and manage all aspects of the Smart Motorways Project, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion of tasks.
  2. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver exceptional results while fostering a culture of safety and collaboration.
  3. Client Relations: Maintain positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, addressing concerns promptly and ensuring project success.
  4. Quality and Safety Assurance: Implement and enforce stringent quality and safety standards, conducting regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance.
  5. Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project costs, manage budgets, and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising project quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Site Agent on similar infrastructure projects, with a focus on smart motorways or intelligent transportation systems.
  • Strong understanding of smart motorways technology and traffic management systems.
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
