Incredible opportunity for a Joinery / Shopfitting CAD Technician from a manufacturing background or similar to join one of the leading firms in the Retail Shopfitting Sector.
THE COMPANY
Esprit UK are a well-established Interior Specialist Company committed to delivering flawless construction projects who are looking to take on a new member of staff to join the multidisciplined drawing office.
The ROLE
This varied role will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to provide surveying / design / construction / setting out and joinery manufacture within the Shopfitting Industry, using the latest Autodesk software.
KEY SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be required to have detailed knowledge with joinery standards and previous experience working in a similar environment. The ability to process new information quickly is key and attention to detail is required. You will be using AutoCAD & Inventor software packages.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reporting to Drawing Office Manager & or Directors
JOB PURPOSE:
The Role: To work within the following disciplines.
- To assist in production of setting out bespoke 2D/3D manufacturing working drawings
- Produce Cutting Cards & Requestions for manufacturing
- 3d laser surveying & plotting
- Setting out and store development layouts
- Electrical and mechanical layouts
- Office upkeeping and record keeping.
- Work closely and collaborate with Contract Managers, Estimators and Joinery Manager on all projects, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
- Attend site as requested, to survey site on behalf to the Company.
- Offer comprehensive service to Clients and represent the Company.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Fully conversant with 2D and 3D Auto Cad and Auto Desk Inventor
- Working knowledge of Building Regulations within the Construction Industry.
- Working knowledge of MS office.
- Woodwork / Wood materials / Joinery knowledge advantageous and basic understanding of manufacturing materials.
- Experience / Interest in construction / joinery and design within the building and manufacturing environment.
- Be open to learn new methods
- Self -manageable, motivated, and able to use initiative.
- Design skill knowledge.
- Be thorough and have good attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and team player.
- Be able to work with architects, engineers, building services and other construction related contractors and implement to drawings.
- Driver’s license
ANY OTHER DUTIES:
Participate in other activities or perform other duties that may be outside the general remit, which will benefit the individual, Department and Company.
