If so, there is an exciting opportunity for you to become a vital part of the team as a Shift Engineer at a data centre in Basingstoke.

Position: Shift Engineer

Salary: up to £50,000 per annum
Location: Data Centre, Basingstoke
Shift Pattern: Continental (12-hour shifts 7am to 7pm - days and nights)

You will be working for a well-established facilities maintenance company known for their expertise in keeping essential infrastructures operational. They are seeking a skilled Shift Engineer to join the team in maintaining a critical data centre, contributing to the seamless functioning of the client's operations, working with a small team of 4 engineers as well as working alongside engineers employed by the client.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Shift Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the data centre. Your primary duties will involve both pre-planned and reactive maintenance tasks.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting routine inspections and servicing on critical equipment
  • Responding promptly to any technical issues or emergencies
  • Collaborating with the wider maintenance team to ensure uninterrupted operations
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities
  • Upholding the highest standards of safety protocols and practices
Qualifications and Experience:

To be considered for this exciting role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Level 3 qualified electrician
  • Holding 17th or 18th edition certification
  • Proven experience in commercial facilities maintenance
  • Previous work within a critical environment (data centre, hospital, etc.) is highly desirable
  • Solid understanding of UPS, generators, fan coil units, and HVAC systems
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure becoming a member of our team, you'll benefit from:
