The SHEQ Technician will assist the Safety, Health Environment, & Quality Manager to promote a positive EHS culture by preventing accidents, injuries & ill health within their business and establishing standards and processes at the Cheltenham site. This exciting opportunity will allow you to manage all aspects of environmental management including ISO certification, permit requirements and pollution control. A key part of the role will require you to conduct internal audits to identify and resolve no conformities.

  • Support the site SHEQ Manager in the development and implementation of effective policies and procedures to reduce risk
  • To identify and lead the development of environmental improvement projects within the site in line with the business's 2025 plan to reduce carbon emissions by 25% (Science based target, scopes 1 & 2)
  • Coaching the wider operational teams for them to be able to complete and review machine, manual handing, COSHH and ergonomic risk assessments
  • Support SHEQ meetings in coordination with the site leadership team with a view to monitor and improve SHEQ performance on site
  • Support the SHEQ Manager by being a key facilitator and encourage continual improvement on site regarding EHS provision

To be successful in this role of SHEQ Technician we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:

  • Has NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent level 3)
  • ISO 14001:2015 Internal auditor
  • NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Member of the Institution of Occupational Health and Safety (IOSH)
  • ISO 9002:2015 Internal auditor
