HOURS: 37.5 hrs per week
Day-to-day duties:
- Lead the staff teams to provide expert support for people who have been sleeping rough and those in supported housing in identifying and progressing their strengths and personal goals.
- Improve service delivery based on feedback from clients, partners, and staff.
- Reflect the organisation’s high priority for client empowerment by identifying and promoting opportunities across all areas of decision making, emphasising effective risk assessment over risk elimination.
- Provide strategic leadership for a service that is designed to provide intensive, person-centred support and reduce rough sleeping in Basingstoke, working closely with commissioners and partners to achieve this.
- Attend relevant meetings with Commissioners and make presentations about the services to a diverse range of audiences.
- Lead a team that will include but is not limited to an In-reach Worker, Accommodation Support Worker, Rough Sleeper Navigator and two Outreach Workers; providing supervision, performance and development reviews and encourage a culture of creative solutions and reflective practice.
- Lead the multi-agency working with external agencies required to reduce rough sleeping, including cross authority.
- Progress and track referrals made into the services.
- Ensure service outcomes are well documented and submitted in a timely way.
- Undertake rostered outreach sessions, including early morning, late evening, and weekends, taking the service to the clients.
- Complete new and review, needs assessment/risk assessment for clients leading to the delivery of full support plans which meet individual client need.
- Track and monitor support delivered and its impact through review and use of outcome tools, with a particular focus on trauma informed care and gender.
- Lead the effective recruitment, induction and ongoing support / development of staff and volunteers, including encouraging residents into internal volunteering opportunities.
- Build effective and motivated staff and volunteer teams promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Provide a clinical lead to the staff team and develop a learning and best practice culture within the service.
- Build and maintain an effective relief worker pool to prevent the use of agency staff.
- Assume personal responsibility for income and expenditure for your service. Work with our Finance department towards meeting the annual budget expectations and reporting back to commissioners on spend as appropriate.
- Actively manage expenditure throughout the year continually seeking opportunities to innovate and improve efficiency in service delivery.
- Contribute to developing, improving, and growing organisational service delivery to ensure sustained commercial viability of the broader organisation.
- Develop and manage monitoring systems which demonstrate the usage and achievements of the service for your teams, the organisation, and external audiences such as commissioners.
- Previous management experience.
- Driver with access to own car.
- DBS within the last 12 months (must have original copy)
