Our client, is looking for a Service Manager to help champion their values of customer satisfaction and value for money support and services.
Service Manager Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide the quickest possible time scales based on customer requirements, avoiding customer disputes where possible
- Ensure that you and your engineers are using the company system effectively
- Maximise the sale of retail hours to exceed company targets
- Ensure that company vehicles are up to a professional standard at all times
- Ensure that warranty work is completed including; customer concerns, Engineers view of the cause, Engineers action to complete, include photos, additional details that might prolong repairs
- Monitor, mentor and motivate your engineers being available to discuss issues or concerns and escalate as appropriate
- Identify and recommend training needs to higher management
- To liaise with outlying depots and support where necessary
- Check in all new machines and inspect prior to delivery to customer
- Raise job cards and check all returned job cards prior to the service administrator invoicing
- Recommend service department purchases of consumables and equipment
- Abide by health and safety, upholding and championing company policies
- Communicate at the end of each job the status of completion or additional requirements to the customer, the engineer and your manager
The ideal Service Manager will:
- Have experience leading a team of Service Engineers preferably in a field environment
- Have prior experience as a Service Engineer
- Have knowledge of heavy industry equipment servicing
- Be IT Literate with experience using internal company systems
- Be comfortable communicating with internal and external stakeholders
Monday - Friday: 08.00 - 17.30
