My client, a Leeds-based company, specialises in the design and manufacturing of Textile Dyeing and Testing Instruments. Due to continued growth, you will be joining them at a time when there will be exciting opportunities as they expand into new markets.

Where will you work?

On some occasions, you will be based in our offices near Leeds, providing support services to our global customer base. On other occasions, we would expect you to make customer site/service visits as well as being involved in design and build projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute service activities, including installation, commissioning, customer training, repairs, preventive maintenance, calibration, and remote technical support via phone and email, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Install and service textile manufacturing equipment.
  • Collaborate with the design department on product development initiatives.
  • Cultivate strong professional relationships with customers to foster loyalty and swiftly resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate and timely reporting of all activities, such as Service Reports and Expense Reports.

Ideal Candidate Qualities:

  • Completion of an Electrical/Mechanical Apprenticeship, preferably with HNC/HND qualifications in engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work autonomously or within a team environment.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills.
  • Clear and precise communication skills to ensure adherence to instructions and directives.
  • Supportive mindset towards fellow team members.
  • Excellent organisational skills to meet targets effectively.
  • Dedication to Health & Safety and Quality standards in the workplace.
  • Demonstrated commitment, drive, and enthusiasm towards personal and company success.
  • Promotion and implementation of Continuous Improvement practices in all activities.
  • Possession of a valid driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel primarily within the UK, with occasional international trips to countries like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, Vietnam, Colombia, Mexico, Germany, Tunisia, etc.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
