Service Engineer

Service Engineer required for my client based in Barnsley who work within the polyurethane manufacturing equipment industry of engineering and manufacturing.

The successful service engineer would currently be in the workshop with occasional site visits but this will change once the work load changes and then the successful service engineer will be on site 3days a week but it will be planned breakdowns / schedules.

• Working on new equipment builds and commissioning
• Servicing and testing of old new equipment - both on and off site.
• Working on-site at various locations in the UK and potentially worldwide.
• Provide installations of new equipment, provide rapid response to breakdown repairs.
• Perform and assist with fault finding / diagnostics, repairs and service of polyurethane metering machines.

Service Engineer Position Requirements

• Good working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• A solid engineering background - with knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• A logical mind to fulfil fault finding and problem solving within the role.
• Knowledge of PLC control systems.
• Manage and lead on-site requirements.
• Willing to work and travel away from home when required.
• Based within a commutable distance of Barnsley.
• Full UK driving licence.

• Salary - £30,000 to £35,000 - dependent upon experience
• Full time position
