Electrical Service Engineer

My client is recognised globally as a well established electrical manufacturer, they are looking to add an Electrical Service Engineer to their team on a permanent basis. This role will entail working off-site within the UK or overseas to maintain, inspect and test electrical LV Switchboard and Circuit breaker products.

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Reporting to Service Manager.
  • Carry out LV Switchboard Inspections, diagnose faults and submit reports.
  • Complete repairs, modifications and carryout electrical tests
  • Carryout LV Switchboard & Circuit Breaker Maintenance. (Marine & industrial)
  • Interpret and understand technical matters arising from customer enquiries.
  • Liaise with customers ensuring company's Reputation in the marketplace.
  • Compile Risk Assessments and Method statements.
  • Carry out site surveys, attending site meetings when required.
  • Ensure by your attitude and demeanour the efficient operation of the department at all times.
  • Respond to enquiries/liaise with service staff and other departments as required.
  • Collect customer information and update service dept databases as required.
  • Work within the UK and overseas where required (unsociable Hours may apply)
  • Responsible for test reports and site reports
  • Contactable from home (out of Hours)

PRINCIPAL SKILLS
  • HNC Electrical Engineering
  • Electrical, Electronic & Mechanical knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Control and System products for Electrical Energy Distribution.
    • (Marine biases would be advantageous)
  • Knowledge of fault-finding procedures
  • Wiring diagram interpretation and wiring skills.
  • Report Writing Skills
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations

    • Customer Contact –Smart Dress When required.
