Salary: £11.50

Contract/duration: Mid May – 15 Sept 2024

Hours/working pattern/hours: Usual working pattern will be Friday to Monday, though at times we may ask you to work additional shifts. 

What it's like to work here

Working at the visitor hub at Pentire you’ll be part of a team of 12 working in both the Food & Beverage and the Visitor Welcome teams.

Its an exciting time for us as the visitor hub at Pentire opened in 2021 and we are steadily growing our visitor offer. This role will be key in providing excellent service for our visitors ensuring that everyone has a fantastic visit to Pentire.

Pentire is part of the North Cornwall property group, which stretches from Holywell (nr Newquay) to Morwenstow (nr Bude). At times there may be opportunity to work at some of our other sites, including, Holywell, Crantock, Carnewas at Bedruthan, Trevose Head, Boscastle and Sandymouth.

What you'll be doing

Service Assistants play an important role in supporting various property teams in greeting and helping our visitors. No two days are the same and you can expect to meet lots of different people and help in various visitor areas. You’ll be involved in different tasks. These could include greeting visitors on arrival, promoting the work of the National Trust, assisting with summer family events, clearing tables in the café and cleaning the toilets at the end of the day. Most importantly you’ll talk to visitors, answering any questions they have to make sure they can find everything they need for their visit. This role would suit anyone with a passion for delivering great customer service and a keen interest in learning about visitor operations.
