• Annual Salary: £31,350 - £46,179 plus £5,000 Welcome Bonus*

We are seeking an English Teacher to join our dedicated team at a specialist educational setting from September. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching to autistic students aged 11 – 16, who have associated behavioural and communication difficulties, as well as multiple learning difficulties.

• Delivering the curriculum, considering the educational, physical, and social needs of the students within a learning environment.
• Collaborating with other staff members as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Utilising short, medium, and long-term plans in delivering the curriculum.
• Setting, monitoring, and reviewing personalised targets to optimise learning for each individual.
• Monitoring, assessing, reviewing, and reporting on student progress to various stakeholders.
• Developing lesson plans with a reflective approach to teaching outcomes.
• Attending and contributing to relevant meetings and maintaining good communication with staff.
• Contributing to the review of EHC plans, PEP, and LAC reviews.
• Providing structured lessons with pace, motivation, and challenge.
• Managing challenging behaviours in line with school policy and procedures.

• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience in a special school environment, particularly with pupils with ASC and SEND.
• Proven ability to deliver a differentiated curriculum to pupils with a range of needs.
• Desirable: Further qualifications in SEND.
• Knowledge of ASC/SEMH students with complex needs.
• Understanding of the national curriculum and experience with autism and associated conditions.
