We are currently working in partnership with a 2 form entry Catholic primary school in the Sutton Manor area of St Helens to recruit a dynamic and motivated KS1 from the September 2024 term.

The school needs someone who can undertake full teaching roles and responsibilities for a mixed Year 2 class with some SEN additional needs.

Experienced and ECT teachers will be considered for the role with possibility for the school to support ECT mentorship and support.

A successful candidate should be able to interview over the coming weeks.

Long term position.
The potential to work in school before the end of the summer term in order to climatise students to teaching change.
Successful candidates will be invited to tour and visit school.

Your new company.

You will be working in a community centred school in St Helens which prides itself on enabling exploration and creating unique opportunities to learn. The school is located in a leafy area of St Helens with good links to Liverpool, Manchester and surrounding areas. The school runs a variety of sports and enrichment clubs to promote mental and physical wellbeing. They have strong links to community and charity and promote core values, such as kindness, equality, inclusion, and ambition. You will be expected to immerse yourself in all aspects of the Year 2 curriculum, planning and delivering lessons and identify gaps in curriculum knowledge. You will work in a friendly and warm environment and be part of a close and supportive team. The school has a supportive and involved senior leadership team and high expectations of behaviour.

Your new role.

Your new role will see you working in English, Maths and Science lessons in Year 2. You will be expected to immerse yourself in the school calendar and attend / run parent's evenings, after-school clubs, supervise / direct teaching assistants, modify curriculum as necessary, complete day to day / midterm lesson planning. You will be expected to differentiate the curriculum and provide intervention sessions to bridge gaps in attainment. You will build effective working relationships quickly and manage assessment / target data for the academic year.

What you'll need to succeed.

To be considered, you must have:

- Qualified Teacher Status (UK QTS)
- Experience working in Year 2 (KS1)
- Enthusiasm, energy and flexibility
- Be up-to-date with curriculum
- Highly motivated and driven to exceed expectations
- Up-to-date DBS
- ECT's considered
