Senior Travel Consultant USA Specialist, London, £30-40k basic

Our client a leading Travel Company are currently looking for an enthusiastic, motivated USA specialist to join their expanding First & Business class Travel department to cover USA enquires. Assisting with all aspects of travel, you must be willing to work in a fast paced environment whilst always offering bespoke solutions and a high-touch personalised travel service. This is an exciting opportunity within a fast growing company, with excellent prospects for career and personal development.

Senior Travel Consultant Skills and attributes

  • A demonstrated passion for travel with a minimum of 2 years travel industry experience, preferably with a luxury travel agency or tour operator
  • Extensive travel knowledge, with market expertise and good knowledge of industry suppliers, destinations, and hotels in the US.
  • Positive attitude, highly driven and with strong sales acumen and desire to help drive company sales
  • Knowledge of a GDS (Galileo, Sabre or Amadeus)
  • High care of duty to both clients and team members and a willingness to go the extra mile for both
  • Impeccable attention to detail and cross-checking skills
  • Highly organised, ability to prioritise and multi-task stay calm under pressure
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Quick learning, able to adapt to new and an ever changing environment
  • Strong work ethic and team player attitude, with strong independent initiative
  • Fluency in English is essential
  • Booking all aspects of leisure travel for our VIP clients. Focus on hotel and villa accommodation alongside bespoke touring worldwide. Also responsible for booking experiences, transfers, restaurant reservations, flights & private jets
  • Work alongside a small team, supporting colleagues with enquiries and concierge requests where needed.
  • Delivering great customer service and maintaining an 'above and beyond’ attitude
  • Confidently present itineraries that align with budgets, including very high-end
  • Drive sales to hit monthly and quarterly targets, both independent and as part of a team
  • Participate in business development, anything from lead generation to attending networking events
