Penguin recruitment is delighted to present a fantastic opportunity to join an award-winning Town Planning Consultancy in Hampshire!
My client is currently looking to recruit a talented and ambitious Senior Town Planner to their close-knit and dynamic team of Chartered Planners and Consultants.

My clients aim is to provide their clients with the best guidance and advice to navigate through the complex planning system to achieve optimum development value and returns, whilst also ensuring that development make a positive contribution in its context.
The practice is well established and has been in operation for over 20 years. It has gained a reputation for delivery from the onset of the planning processes, covering a wide range of large-scale schemes that include residential, commercial, industrial and hospitality sectors.
Their body of clients include national, regional, and local housebuilders, as well as a variety of Local Planning Authorities, hotel and care operators, and commercial property investment organisations in addition to homeowners and local businesses.
Duties of the role
As part of the dynamic team, you will work collaboratively in bringing clients the best possible services, some of which include the following:
- Planning and appraisals advise.
- Local plan site promotion.
- The preparation, coordination, submission and management of planning applications, pre-application and Section 106 Agreements.
- Perpetration, coordination, submission, and management of planning appeals including public inquiries.
- Advice on planning enforcement, including appeals and/or negotiation of a positive outcome wherever possible.
- Advice on heritage matters including in respect of listed buildings.
Candidate requirements
- MRTPI Chartership or working towards the APC.
- RTPI accredited degree in Town Planning or relevant field of study.
- Previous experience at Planner or Senior Planner level in a Public or Private sector position.
- Ability to work from own initiative as well as collaboratively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to be 'client-facing'.
