Senior Town Planner

Oxford

An exciting opportunity has presented itself for a talented expert Town Planner to join one of the largest Property Consultants in the UK!

You will be joining a frontline development and planning business which operates within a much larger commercial and residential property adviser practice. We are looking for highly motivated, intelligent, and driven individuals who pride themselves in offering high quality advice and excellent client care gained in the private sector, consultancy, or public sector environment.

The role will be based primarily in the Oxford office, working with a Director and Associate Director and providing guidance to the other non-Planning teams based in the office, but will also involve travel to clients and potentially other offices within the company.

Candidate Requirements

  • Demonstratable previous experience ideally working within the private sector but not essential.
  • Demonstrable experience in both local plan promotion and development management, but with the latter being of particular value.
  • Must be a problem-solver and advocate ideas and solutions clearly.
  • Successful applicants will have a flexible attitude towards working and be self-motivated with a strong team spirit.
  • Candidates should also be self-assured, confident, enjoy the prospect of developing their own client base and making a real contribution to the prosperity of the Company and themselves.
  • Ideally qualified with the RTPI (or RICS P&D) or working towards qualification.

What's on offer:

For the ideal candidate, my client is happy to offer a competitive starting salary as well as a generous accompanying benefits package that includes company car allowance, bonus scheme, season ticket loans, private medical cover, 27+ days annual leave, and a range of other health and wellness benefits! The successful candidate will also have the opportunity for quick professional progression and excellent mentorship and support in professional development. The company also has a flexible/hybrid home working policy that helps to promote a healthy work/life balance!

My client is proud to be an inclusive employer, as recognised by their RICS Inclusive Employer status and the Stonewall Equality Index. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a forward-thinking and dynamic team!
