Job Title: Technical Author

Client: Elite FinTech Firm

Salary: Up to £120k + Bonus

Location: London

An Elite FinTech Firm is looking for a highly talented Technical Writer ideally with financial services experience to join an elite group in group of individuals.

This team have an unlimited tech budget, promote a great culture and are made up of fantastic like-minded individuals.

Role:

• Collaborate with internal engineering and development teams to obtain an in depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements

• Create and maintain technical documentation that is accurate, comprehensive, and tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Write, edit, and publish content for use on wikis such as Confluence and use of self-documenting code tools like Sphinx

• Structure and organize documentation effectively to enhance readability, discoverability, and ease of collaborative editing

• Proactively identify and address documentation gaps or areas for improvement, and hold teams accountable

• Use generative AI tools to accelerate the documentation process when appropriate

• Assist in developing documentation strategies and workflow improvements

• Ensure documentation complies with internal standards and guidelines

Skills:

· 4+ years of experience as a Technical Author/Writer/Documentation Engineer, ideally with experience in Financial Services

· Familiarity with Infrastructure technology (both on-prem and cloud)

· A Computer Science Degree is heavily advantageous but not essential
