About our client

Our client, a top 20 Accountancy Practice in Peterborough, is seeking a Senior Tax Associate

Role Responsibilities

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our client's Tax team. Responsibilities include:

- Utilising tax software to prepare and generate tax returns

- Communicating with clients to address queries, detail liabilities, and advise on tax-saving opportunities

- Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients and preparing necessary HMRC forms

- Coaching junior staff on delegated tasks

- Identifying tax planning opportunities

- Assisting on consultancy projects and conducting research projects as required

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess:

- ATT qualification, or ACA-CTA part-qualified or equivalent

- 2-3 years of practical experience with varied, practical, and technical tax knowledge

- Ability to train junior staff

- Basic accounts knowledge

- Strong communication skills

- Commercial awareness and client focus

- Problem-solving and decision-making skills

- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
