Senior Tax Accountant

We help our SME business clients and individuals achieve their business goals through great Accountancy and Business Advice services. We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our friendly team. You will be responsible for managing a diverse client portfolio as well as building and maintaining effective client relationships to prepare complex personal returns for private clients and trusts. Additionally, you will be responsible for advising clients on various facets of tax compliance, including tax planning, CGT, IHT etc. This role is offered on a part-time/ flexible hours basis.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing personal tax returns on a varied client base
• Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships & limited companies under FRS 102
• Provide tax advisory and compliance services to clients, including tax planning and tax return preparation.
• Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Ideally completed or partially completed ATT/CTA/ACA/ACCA. We will consider a qualified accountant, tax professional, qualified by experience, or someone who is self-employed looking for extra work.
• 3-5 years of experience in corporate tax compliance & tax planning
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Working with IRIS, cloud-based software QuickBooks, Xero, Dext etc., and assisting clients with the migration to cloud accounting
• Ability to work effectively on own initiative
• Accounting practice experience is essential.
