Senior Support Worker required for CQC Care Home in Canterbury Kent £24500 -£26000

Our home is located in Canterbury is has 16 beds mainly for Elderly with dementia and other disabilities.

This is a family run business that takes great pride in specialising in dementia support that provides a high level of care to our residents.

The service we provide is entirely independence driven and person focused, being a small home enables us to do just this.

You will be given tremendous support from out management team.

Purpose of Senior Support Worker

As a Senior Support Worker, you will be working as part of the care team, recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents, conduct formal supervisions and appraisals, as well as, contributing to care planning and coaching support workers.You will supervise staff and run shifts With an emphasis on high quality, the purpose of the role is to maintain the personal care needs of residents, respecting the dignity of the individual and promoting independence.

Skills Required:of Senior Support Worker

  • Good communication skills
  • Previous experience in a senior care role.
  • Experience in running shifts
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • To be caring and compassionate
  • To be able to work as a team and Individual
  • To have good interpersonal skills
  • Be flexible and responsible
  • Good understanding of CQC rules and regulations
  • Have an NVQ Level 3 in health and social care and happy to work towards Level 5

Employment Hours and Remuneration of a Senior Support Worker

  • 36 hours per week
  • 12 hour shifts normally 0730 to 1930
  • There are no sleep in shifts
  • £13.00 start to £14.00 depending on experience and qualifications
  • Annual salary £24500 -£26000
