Senior Reliability Engineer (GaN)

Responsibilities:

Develop the lifetime models of both E-mode and D-mode power GaN-on-Si devices.

Design effective test routines for burn-in and screening using JTM's in-house facilities and in collaboration with foundries and assembly houses.

Identify and investigate the reliability of new GaN power devices through different tests such as HRTB, HTGB, HTOL, TCT, ESD, Etc.

Design efficient and accurate test plans and routines for test engineers.

Investigate the failure mechanisms of GaN power devices in collaboration with the simulation, measurement, and FA teams.

Develop physics-based models for failure mechanisms and provide suggestions to the design team.

Work in collaboration with process engineers and leading fabs to improve device reliability.

Work on the qualification of our GaN devices according to JEDEC standards.

To be considered you will need the following:

Ph.D. in microengineering, material science, electronics engineering, or (to the Ph.D. accreditation) 3 or more relevant years of solid industrial/R&D experience from a similar technical background

Deep knowledge of semiconductor physics, preferably of GaN power devices

Previous experience in reliability engineering and related standards practices in the semiconductor industry

Previous experience with finite element simulation tools and TCAD software

Experience in designing, organizing, and managing experiments and related activities

Autonomous and proactive working style with excellent working organization and ethics

Effective communication and relational skills effectively, and able to work in a team with different professional and cultural backgrounds
