Are you looking to join a progressive contractor with a diverse workforce delivering first class engineering schemes across the South West?

Due to growth and an increase in workload, an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor is sought to join the commercial team of this expanding Civil Engineering contractor with offices across Devon & Cornwall. As an organisation, they currently operate across Highways, Infrastructure, Bridges, Flood Defence and Water sectors so they are able to offer a great variety of workload.

The Role:

As a diligent Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be required to successfully lead your own schemes from project award to final account, typically undertaking the following duties:
  • Subcontract Procurement & Negotiation
  • Works Valuations
  • Agreeing Payments
  • Subcontract Management & Compliance
  • Cost Control & Value Management
  • Commercial Reporting
  • Agreeing Final Accounts
  • Client Liaison
  • Overseeing Junior staff
The Person:
  • Previous Quantity Surveying experience at a senior level with a recognised Civil Engineering contractor
  • Ideally hold a relevant Construction or Engineering related qualification
  • Sound technical construction knowledge
  • Commercial acumen with a proven track record in delivering projects
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience of working on NEC3 / JCT / ICC forms of contract
  • Fully IT literate
