Following sustained growth in the business, we are looking for a Senior Risk Manager to join our EO Property Risk Solutions team; this is your chance to create your career in an exciting environment where anything is possible.

As a Senior Risk Manager for QBE, you will provide primary support for Portfolio Managers and Senior Underwriters in the management of Customer accounts to assist with business retention and acquisition.

In addition, you will work closely with Customers and Brokers on risk surveys, risk improvement programmes and risk engineering projects. You will assist the Practice Leader of the Property Risk Solutions to deliver these services in a cost effective and timely manner in keeping with the Risk Solutions service delivery strategy.

The ideal candidate:

  • Has previous experience as an Account Engineer or a detailed working knowledge of PD/BI Risk Engineering/Risk Management

  • Has demonstrable knowledge of a broad range fire suppression technologies and the ability to analyse system adequacy

  • Can contribute to a growing library of technical risk engineering guidance materials

  • Can deliver training to Underwriters, Customers and Brokers via webinar and classroom sessions

  • Has excellent negotiation & presentation skills

  • Has excellent relationship management skills - able to liaise and influence at all levels

  • Can work to tight deadlines and manage own workload

  • Has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
