Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure Property/Casualty claims are settled within specific handling times and clients kept updated with the progress of their claim
Assist in developing the skills of any new hires within the team, sharing experiences gained from working within the London Market
Management and control of complex claims
Building, developing, and maintaining close working relationships with Clients, ensuring a consistently high standard of service is provided
Managing and promptly resolving all external and internal queries
Producing claims information and presenting to insurers/reinsurers, either in written or networked format; and dealing with any resultant instructions, queries and enquiries
Monitoring insurers' agreement and payment of funds and ensuring that payments are made to the appropriate beneficiary
Building meaningful relationships with Clients, experts and insurers by dealing with them in a prompt, friendly and professional manner at all times
To be proactive in the provision of claims solutions for large clients and coverholders.
Knowledge Requirements
Sufficient knowledge and understanding of the relevant aspects of the Law of Agency and the Law of Contract to be able to perform the Principal Tasks
Sufficient knowledge and understanding of the general concepts of insurance to be able to perform the Principal Tasks
Good working knowledge of the Underwriters and markets; and their practices, documentation and customs
Good working knowledge of the Australian Insurance and regulatory environments
To be proactive in the provision of claims solutions for large clients and coverholders.
