Senior Project Engineer - Electrical & Instrumentation

Salary: From £75,000pa

Location: Based in Hemel Hempstead, but International travel will be required on a regular basis

Purpose / Responsibilities:

• Update and maintain Quality Manual procedures for electrical, electronic, instrumentation and software design, development, commissioning and maintenance.
• Create electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical & manage the designing and writing of new software programs, along with the co-ordination of electrical, instrumentation and electronic/software design.
• Write & evaluate manufacturing tenders and specifications for product manufacture, assembly and test.
• Create & carry out test procedures and fault rectification
• Co-ordination of electrical, instrumentation and electronic/software design
• Integrating existing electrical, instrumentation, electronic and software products and ensure different platforms work together.
• Create electrical, instrumentation and electronic technical specifications and test procedures.
• Work with computer coding languages - Compile Software Coding and Testing Specifications.
• Work closely with management team in evaluating current systems and making decisions on future development.
• Represent the Company at client / customer / supplier meetings and negotiating all aspects of work specifications and project management
• Carry out instrument calibration at Test Facilities

Key Competencies and Skill Requirements:

• B.Sc. Hons or M.Sc. Hons, along with some form of MI Elect-E or MRAeS with 10+ years of industrial experience within the Aerospace / Aeronautical industry.
• Due to ITAR regulations, you must be a UK resident by birth, and hold a valid Passport with no restrictions on travel. You must also be able to get an ESTA for travel to North America
• Expertise in current computer hardware, software, and AutoCAD Electrical.
• Proficiency in NI Programming, Network Design and Maintenance, and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to manage the Quality System and negotiate effectively with suppliers and customers.
