Senior Production Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Production Engineer to join their growing team! This is a full time, permanent role based in our office in Neath.

This is a key role within the Research and Development department.

As a Senior Production Engineer you will support the production and R&D teams with the development and introduction of new products into manufacturing.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

* Create and maintain current assembly standard operating procedures (SOP's).

* Create and maintain assembly routings.

* Design and develop assembly jigs and fixtures.

* Design, develop and implement assembly cells including line balancing activities.

* Calculate assembly cycle time.

* Conduct continuous improvement activities through Kaizan and Lean manufacturing techniques.

* Support Product design team by partaking in design/product reviews.

* Support production though NPI

What you will need:

* Mechanical engineering degree or similar

* Experience in the assembly of electronics

* Experience working with Cable and harnessing.

* Experience of 3D Parametric CAD (Desirable)

* Proficiency with Microsoft office, primarily excel and word.

* Knowledge of Health and Safety at Work

* Familiar with MRP/ERP systems
