Seven Resourcing are currently looking for a Senior Procurement Officer to work within Isle of Wight Council. We are seeking a Procurement Specialist who has extensive experience in the the public sector procurement regulations to be responsible for the complete end-to-end procurement cycle - From Project Initiation through to Contract Award. We are specifically seeking skills with management of external procurement consultants and associated experts e.g. financial, legal and technical support for the first phase of developing the procurement strategy.

Some Key Information is Highlighted Below:

Rate: £500 per day.

Hours: 37 hours a week (negotiable)

Contract Length: Initially 9 -12 months estimated.

Working Arrangements: This will be a hybrid role requiring predominantly remote working (equipment will be provided) with onsite visits as and when required through the duration of the contract.

Work Will Include:

  • Stakeholder engagement and liaison
  • Project Management
  • Informing Options Appraisals
  • Using e-tendering software (pro-contract etc)
  • Ensure that the procurement process is fully compliant with the Council's Contract Standing Orders, UK legislative requirements
  • Ensuring work undertaken delivers best value

Experience Needed:

  • MCIPS Qualified
  • Substantial experience utilising e-tendering software throughout the procurement process
  • Expert knowledge of Public Contract Regulations 2015 (PCR)
  • Confident with Microsoft 365 and associated apps including specific skill with Excel.
