This role requires a dedicated Senior Procurement Officer to oversee and implement efficient purchasing strategies, within a not-for-profit setting, to maximise value for money and ensure project delivery for a range of goods, services and works for a substantial Estates portfolio.

Description
The Senior Procurement Officer will provide professional procurement support across a range of stakeholders for the procurement of goods, services and works. Responsible for detailed spend analyses to identify strategic opportunities that will improve value and apply best practice supplier relationship and contract management techniques.
- Proactively seek opportunities for strategic sourcing in goods, services and works procurement
- Develop and implement strategic procurement processes.
- Conduct Tendering Process to achieve value in cost, value and quality
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
- Perform cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations.
- Oversee supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to achieve sustainable deals.
- Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.
- Assess, manage and mitigate risks.
- Contribute to the team's objectives to ensure project delivery.
- Manage suppliers' performance
- Ensure procurement processes are streamlined and facilitate compliant procurement
Profile
A successful Senior Procurement Officer should have:
- A relevant professional qualification e.g. (MCIPS) or a relevant degree or;
- significant procurement experience and commitment to continuous professional development.
- Knowledge, skills and aptitude to influence colleagues to contribute to procurement projects and continuously improve procurement best practice.
- Contract review and management skills.
- Supplier management skills.
- Strong strategic thinking and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyse data and extract relevant information.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively manage supplier relationships.
- Ability to work and deliver at pace in a busy environment.
