An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Procurement Officer to join the Finance team at Nottingham College.

The successful candidate will be based with the Finance team at the Adams campus, reporting to the Procurement Manager. You will be required to manage a wide range of procurement enquiries and will support the Procurement team in delivering an effective Procurement service to Nottingham College.

We are looking for someone with experience within the Public Sector, someone who has a proven track record in contributing and/or managing procurement processes, including sourcing, tendering, evaluation and contract management and is familiar with the upcoming procurement legislation changes.

The ability to work to tight timelines during the tendering process is a must, alongside a keen eye for detail, as this role will be responsible for running and managing tendering processes and supporting the Procurement Officer in ensuring accurate record keeping in both the contract database and the supplier register. The role will also require you to undertake specific tasks within the P2P process in the absence of the Procurement Officer.

We are looking for someone with excellent IT, organisation and communications skills, with the ability to manage differing tasks throughout the day, to keep up with the varying requests coming into the department. The role will also work closely with the Procurement Officer and other Finance colleagues and the successful candidate will be passionate about delivering an excellent, one-stop service to the rest of the College.

Our ideal candidate will be currently studying towards the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) or someone who is eager to start studying. The College is committed to offering study support as part of the overall package as there is an opportunity to develop in this role.

The post will be shortlisted against the essential and desirable criteria at application stage from the person specification. Please ensure that you have a look at this specification attached to the Role Profile and complete your application directly from this, providing clear evidence of how you meet each of the criteria detailed, as these specifications are an integral part of the selection process.

Nottingham College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of our students and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Background checks including employer references and an enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
