The role
Funding Circle is looking for an Interim Group Head of Procurement based in London, reporting into the Group Finance Director.
You will be responsible for supporting the Global Procurement and Supplier Management processes and will act as a subject matter expert for all things procurement. This will include forming effective relationships across multiple teams, levels and suppliers to guide them through procurement decisions and drive operational processes and initiatives.

What will you be doing?
  • Engage stakeholders to understand business requirements and providing guidance and advising the best sourcing strategies
  • Ensure that procurement initiatives are completed in accordance with corporate sourcing policies and procedures, and that the resulting contractual agreements are compliant
  • Assess and analyse current spend reports/trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Educate and promote the benefits of Procurement and Supplier Relationship Management; act as an ambassador for procurement/Funding Circle both internally and externally
  • Ensure all reporting is completed accurately and in a timely manner e.g. Savings tracker, Operational Risk Committee metrics, Procurement training delegates, Non-Compliance events
  • Lead and present at Supplier Risk Committees
  • Maintain and find efficiencies in how to manage Supplier and Contract data in our Supplier Management Tool (Gatekeeper)
  • Support negotiations with third-party suppliers to drive efficiencies and performance improvement.
  • Carry out Supplier Due-Diligence for suppliers being on-boarded
  • Run effective RFI and RFP processes
  • Assess and review ongoing supplier risk and Service Impact Assessment ratings based on the goods / services being purchased
  • Maintain and extract accurate risk, supplier and contract data to store on our supplier management database
  • Proactively manage supplier renewals to get the best deals for Funding Circle
What we're looking for
  • Relevant experience in a Procurement commercial environment (8yrs+), ideally across multiple categories (Technology, Marketing & Professional Services)
  • Experience with negotiation of contracts, including costs, payment terms, success criteria, etc.
  • Experience in building relationships with business stakeholders of all levels.
  • Understand the external supply market & translate into expert advice for the business
  • A team player who is driven, organised, confident in their approach to work & has the ability "to get things done" by using their own initiative.
  • Strong IT skills, including database management, Excel, etc. Analytical and numerically astute with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Able to work and learn quickly in a fast paced, fun and dynamic environment
  • Relevant procurement qualifications, such as MCIPS / FCIPS
