GREAT Pensions, Investments & Insurance company across the UK is looking to recruit a PENSIONS ADMINISTRATOR with DB or DC Admin skills & may allow the Amersham area if you are close to there. Pension administrators are responsible for day-to-day admin of pension schemes & ensure new & existing clients policies are accurately maintained & serviced. Whether you have pension admin experience or looking to move in to it, with a structured training programme where supported in learning.

Profile:-

  • Manage portfolio of clients
  • Prepare manual & computer generated calculations & related correspondence
  • Maintain member database; prepare computer benefit calculations & linked correspondence
  • Communicate with clients, members & advisers
  • Carry out & check cash handling functions, liaising with bank & investment managers 
  • Process & check client pensioner payrolls, including calculation of net pay, arranging payments, liaison with tax offices & preparation of year end returns
  • Liaise with authorities including DWP, HMRC, Pensions Regulator & the Commissioner
  • Prioritise workloads & carry out activities in line to service levels
  • Read, research & understand documents relating to each scheme
  • Check work of other team members, ensuring accuracy & compliance with scheme rules
  • Project based or committee work, as agreed time to time
  • Prepare annual benefit statements 
  • Responsibility monitoring completion annual report & accounts in agreed timescales
  • Encourage the team to look for efficient gains.
  • Carry out activities in line with the service 
  • Attend client meetings & be prepared to present admin reports
  • Assist with promoting admin services & systems to existing & potential clients
  • Support effective team working & share knowledge to assist with the development of colleagues through coaching & training
  • Demonstrate clear understanding of how the PPF operates, the nature & type of compensation (specific for PPF Administration)
  • Adhere to specific targets, carry out calculations & tasks in working on PPF schemes, & respond to needs for rapid turnaround of work (specific for PPF Admin)
  • Support, implement & maintain Information Security procedures &activities in accordance to Barnett Waddingham’s Information Security Policy, & other Barnett Waddingham accreditations & cards
  • Any other reasonable task as advised 

Qualifications:-

  • PREVIOUS PENSIONS SKILLS DB & DC
  • Certificate in Pension Calculations (CPC) or progress with other relevant PMI qualifications would be an advantage. & Willingness to progress towards professional qualification will be a benefit; PROVEN EXPERIENCE IN THE ROLE IS MORE DESIREABLE than other achievements
  • Good knowledge of MO System
  • Communication skills with members & clients
  • Good attention to detail & ability to check data accurately, &make sure member details are correct
  • Ability to look at data, & then make decisions based on the data
  • Existing pensions experience (DB or DC pensions)
  • Experience working in Financial Services, Banking, Finance, Insurance or similar an advantage
  • Ideally minimum of GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths & English at grade 5 / C or or equivalent, or able to demonstrate a  pre-employment test
