Senior Paraplanner

Eventus Recruitment are seeking a Senior Paraplanner, ideally with Chartered Status, to join an Independent Financial Planning business in Macclesfield, Cheshire. This is a permanent full-time job. Also, a great opportunity to join a professional directly authorised firm which continues to grow. You will benefit from 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, flexible hybrid / remote working options (Paraplanners predominently WFH if this is their preference) , 3 x DIS and great a pension plan (5% + 5%).

Role Responsibilities:

The incoming Senior Paraplanner will have attained Chartered status and should have a very high level of technical expertise, able to handle complex work.

Responsibilities include:

• Accurately prepare complex suitability reports and letters to target deadlines.
• Ensure all client work is compliant and supported with relevant paperwork.
• Undertake comparative research in preparation of client recommendations.
• Complete technical research as part of the existing arrangement review process.
• Understand clients overall financial position from fact finds.
• Discuss client objectives with the relevant IFA, identifying and obtaining necessary client information to prepare the necessary suitability checks.
• Ensure all client queries are appropriately investigated and accurate responses given.
• Conduct annual reviews in line with SLAs.
• Working closely with 2 Chartered Financial Planners.
• Providing support with preparation of new business reports and annual suitability review letters.

Person Specification

The successful Paraplanner will ideally have experience of handling complex IHT work, VCT/EIS, carry forward calcs etc. You will also have:

• Chartered status (or close to achieving this).
• High level of technical expertise.
• Ability to work well with team members and clients.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask.
