Senior Paralegal / NQ-1 Solicitor - Construction - Remote

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior paralegal or junior solicitor to join a thriving legal team in an engineering consultancy. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality legal support within the team, primarily focusing on construction & commercial law.

Description

• Acts as liaison between company attorneys, outside counsel, organisations, and in-house employees.
• Review, draft, negotiate a range of commercial contracts including; construction contracts, leases, licenses and insurance policies.
• Providing company secretarial support.
• Compiles data from legal digests, encyclopedias and practice manuals.
• Prepares and files legal documents with appropriate entities, as required.
• Conducts research on projects as directed by corporate attorneys.
• May review and ensure the company's compliance with regulations.
• Assists internally in analyzing documents. Counsels on progress of cases.
• May assist with the review and preparation of patent material and applications.

Profile

A successful senior paralegal or junior solicitor should have:

• A solid understanding of construction law
• At least three years of legal experience in the engineering/construction industry in the UK.
• A legal degree or equivalent qualification
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong research and analytical abilities
• A high level of integrity and professional ethics
• Good organisational and time management skills
