Job Title: Senior Night Care Assistant

Location: Tamworth, B79 7SF

Salary: £13.30 Per Hour

Job type: 36.75 Hours per week available: Permanent contract, Full Time

About Us:

Exciting opportunities have arisen for a Senior Night Care Assistant to join Northgate Healthcare, a leading care provider based in Tamworth. The successful candidates will receive free mandatory training, free uniform, holiday entitlement and free onsite parking. Staff work a weekend on weekend off basis. The Senior Night Care Assistant will be responsible for contributing to all aspects of the physical and emotional care of the residents, enabling the individuals to achieve a lifestyle of their own choice.

The Role:

The Senior Care Assistant will report to the Care Manager and be responsible for all aspects of the physical and emotional care of clients. The Senior Care Assistant will also provide leadership of the team, including the supervision and training of staff. The role will also involve providing close liaison with professional agents.

We seek a well-organised, adept at allocating and delegating work appropriately, with a proven ability to lead and supervise others and good care and understanding. You're trained, or willing to teach, administer medication, and contribute to, monitor, and implement changes that improve residents' outcomes.

Duties Will Include:

  • To take responsibility for the home and ensure it meets company objectives in the absence of the Care Manager.
  • To administer and record medication as and when required in accordance with the Medication Policy.
  • To give a daily report to the person in charge at the end of each shift concerning the care delivered to the residents noting any changes.
  • To maintain liaison with professionals in a multi-agency approach.
  • To provide supervision and support to the staff team.
  • To participate in the planning of care programmes and prepare care review reports.
  • To assess the care practice of all staff, ensuring the objectives of the home are met.
  • To supervise and be involved in all aspects of the holistic care of the resident group.
  • To maintain administration and monitoring systems that comply with legal requirements.
  • To ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • To work flexible hours to meet the needs of the home.
  • To attend staff training courses and meetings.

The Successful Senior Care Assistant Will Have:

  • Medication Experience and all the relevant certifications.
  • Own Transport or ability to get to work, public transport is present.
  • Demonstrate Leadership Skills
  • Flexibility in shift patterns
  • NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent

Hours:

  • Week 1: 4 x 10.50-hour shifts per week
  • Week 2: 3 x 10.50-hour shifts per week
  • Zero Hour (Bank Contract) available.
