Senior Mechanical / Structural Design Engineer

Imperial Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting for a Senior Mechanical / Structural Design Engineer on behalf of a long established multi-disciplined engineering consultancy based in Teesside.

The successful applicant will be proactive with strong innovation and analytical skills to provide efficient and reliable solutions to engineering problems. Working within an engineering team, you will liaise with external project stakeholders and internal resources to deliver projects to schedule and budget.

Your duties are but not limited too:

• Working with a friendly group of colleagues who strive to deliver cost-effective solutions to client requirements.
• Externally you will work with core clients, third-party engineering consultants, manufacturing partners, and suppliers.
• Holding virtual/face-to-face meetings with clients
• Developing and maintaining project schedule and budget
• Producing conceptual designs with validating calculations
• Producing detailed designs from successful concepts
• Producing design risk assessments and project documentation
• Managing design engineers

To be considered for this role you will have:

• Degree level qualified in Mechanical / Structural Engineering or related demonstrated experience.
• Proven Knowledge of structural steel design
• Extensive knowledge of metal fabrication and fabrication practice
• Competent with 2D (AutoCAD), Autodesk Inventor 3D (Desirable), Mathcad, and Beam Analysis Software
• Competent lead / Senior engineer
• Civil Design Engineering Experience (Desirable)
