A top manufacturer of hydraulic measurement and control products are looking for a Senior Mechanical Assembler to join their team, based in St. Ives, Cambridgeshire.

Working in their busy assembly department, the successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly and testing of products, as well as helping team members with training, resolving issues found during assembly and feeding this back to drive continuous improvement.

As a Senior Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for:

· Assembly of mechanical and electro-mechanical products from technical drawings

· Testing the products using top of the line hydraulic or electronic equipment

· Using an ERP system to specify, issue and assign serial numbers for components whilst updating the progress along the way

· Working to KPI's and meeting output and productivity measures

· Complete all documentation in compliance with ISO 9001 procedures

Experience and skills we're looking for include:

· Experience within mechanical assembly

· The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and complete simple measurements of parts

· Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and ERP or MRP software.

This is a full-time, permanent vacancy working 39 hours per week, initially starting on a fixed daytime hours but over time there being flexibility around start and finish times.
