Senior Marketing Executive

Our client, a growing international company, is looking for an experienced Senior Marketing Executive. You will be communicating to a diverse portfolio of retailers globally as they supply bespoke products and brands within different sectors.

Scope of the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Marketing Executive to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to drive brand and product awareness, increase market penetration and ultimately boost sales across their portfolio of products.

Operating in the FMCG industry, the role requires a diverse approach to developing and executing initiatives with an acute awareness of the variety of customers they deal with as well as their wide-ranging target audience.

As Senior Marketing Executive, you will be able to manage several projects simultaneously across their entire portfolio of product categories for national and international customers. You will also have an exceptional attention to detail, be able to think outside the box and be able to establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal colleagues, customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities Include

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive marketing plans aligned with company objectives, target audience insights and market trends to drive business growth.
  • Managing and enhancing the company’s brand image through effective brand positioning, messaging and communication across various channels.
  • Leading product launch and awareness initiatives, including market research, product positioning and promotional activity.
  • Overseeing digital marketing campaigns across their LinkedIn and Instagram platforms, as well as retailer channels, to increase brand/product visibility and engagement.
  • Conducting market research and analysis to identify opportunities for competitive differentiation.
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams, including commercial, product development and design to ensure alignment and integration of marketing efforts in line with overall business objectives.
  • Managing marketing budgets effectively and optimising spend to maximise return on investment and achieve their strategic goals.
  • Monitoring and analysing key performance metrics for each campaign including sales data and campaign performance to evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives and identify areas for improvement.

Candidate Profile

  • Strong understanding of consumer behaviour, market dynamics and industry trends within the FMCG sector.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly organised with excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiastic with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
  • Impeccable attention to detail.

Experience and Knowledge

  • Higher-education qualification in Marketing or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in marketing roles within the FMCG industry
  • Have a track record of success in developing and executing marketing plans that drive growth in line with the overall marketing strategy.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in digital marketing platforms, tools and analytics.
  • Excellent visual and verbal presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of basic photography equipment to product digital creative content.
  • Design software experience would be beneficial (Adobe Creative Suite eg)
  • Photography experience would be beneficial.
