Your New Role As Management Accountant:

A newly created role this Senior Management Accounts position will join an established, expanding Finance Team. As part of the UK finance function you shall be responsible for the production of monthly management accounts. Reporting to the Finance Manager you shall work alongside experienced and knowledgeable senior finance professionals. Part of a diverse Finance Team, you shall provide dedicated accounting support by producing monthly management accounts and accomplishing key financial close & day-to-day activities efficiently.

As Senior Management Accountant you will be an essential asset in supporting the Financial Controller & Finance Manager in driving forward projects, achieving business objectives and leading the team to success. The role involves cross-department collaboration, interacting with senior stakeholders, financial reporting and implementing process improvements.

Main role duties:

Cross-department collaboration inclusive of attending and speaking in business meetings, presenting in front of colleagues and knowledge sharing
Monthly / Quarterly / Annual reporting preparation & consolidation
Project work involving creating, leading or supporting projects
Performing management accounting duties with accuracy and attention to detail
Monthly management accounts including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
Posting key journals entries
Balance sheet reconciliations
Identify areas of improvement and implement robust processes
Support with financial internal & external auditors
Assist with year-end statutory accounts
Develop and maintain robust processes and controls in line with Group requirements
Ensure consistent documentation of tasks and activities according to internal policies

Experience & Qualifications Required To Apply:

To be considered for this role you shall be a qualified accountant (CIMA ACA ACCA) with experience in a similar management accounting role. With strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills you shall have also supervised juniors in finance and have the ability to proritise workload in a fast-paced environment. You shall have strong technical skills and have had exposure to statutory accounting requirements in a large business unit.
