A Senior Litigator Team Leader is required to join a claims management company based in Kent on a permanent basis. This company is a subsidiary of an award-winning home and car insurance provider.

As the Senior Litigator Team Leader, you be:

  • Able to handle the conduct of litigation of claims arising under Motor and Household policies, liaising with insurers, their policyholders, third parties and suppliers, as necessary
  • Working effectively and delivering a market leading litigation service with excellent customer service
  • Overseeing a team of 5 junior claims handlers with the prospect for this to grow as the company evolves
  • Instructing experts and counsel as required, or refer to the Head of Legal as appropriate
  • Drafting pleadings, applications, and statements
  • Participating in settlement negotiations and ADR
  • Maintaining an effective claims handling and diarising system

As the Senior Litigator Team Leader, you will have:

  • At least 1 years' experience of handling litigation, preferably within the insurance sector
  • Good understanding of Court Procedure Rules and litigation management
  • Proven capability of claims negotiation
  • The ability to work individually and proactively, as well as part of a team
  • Drive and be enthusiastic - meet or exceed targets
  • A confident and professional attitude
  • Relevant legal qualifications useful but not required
