We are seeking a number of diligent Legal Cashier's to manage the financial accounts of our clients. You will need experience of law firms and solicitors’ offices. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth financial operations within the legal sector, with a focus on bookkeeping, financial record-keeping, and compliance with industry regulations. These are across Southampton & Portsmouth Areas.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Handle daily financial transactions, including payments, receipts, and reconciliations.
• Process various types of payments within specified deadlines.
• Operate and review banking software for financial transactions.
• Issue, post, and distribute client and office cheques with high accuracy.
• Ensure adherence to industry guidelines and regulations, including VAT and anti-money laundering.
• Address and assist with accounts queries from clients and colleagues.
• Collaborate with legal professionals to manage financial matters effectively.
• Train and supervise junior legal cashiers and manage input of statutory fees.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Profound knowledge of legal accounting principles.
• Proficiency with industry-specific software.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
