About the role

Our Public Sector Assurance Services team are a small but committed team delivering internal audit support a range of clients including the UK and international governments and United Nations bodies.

You should be a qualified internal auditor with a robust experience within the Internal Audit industry. Ideally Institute of Internal Auditors qualified, the role involves working with our public-sector clients both in the UK and overseas. Some international travel may be required.

Our work is diverse, so you need to be adaptable, proactive and a self-starter, you could be working to a UK government department auditing major change programmes or assigned to audit the beneficiary data on a cash transfer programme for the ultra-poor or undertaking n internal controls review of country office for the United Nations. Rarely are two weeks the same.

We are particularly looking for someone who loves the variety of internal audit with a ‘can do’ and ‘make it happen’ problem solving attitude., while career development opportunities are available across RSM, this role might suit someone more interested in delivery than management. We are also interested in those who joined internal audit later in their careers where their prior experiences would add real benefits to our clients.

You will be required to undertake UK Government security clearance to SC level.

Essential
:

  • IIA/ACA qualification
  • Professional experience with UK/UN public sector bodies
  • Hold or be eligible to undergo UK Government security clearance to SC level


Desirable:

  • Masters degree
  • Experience of central government public sector
  • Experience with the international organisations
  • Fluent in a second language (French, Spanish or Arabic)
  • Experience working in developing economies
