Role Purpose

The Senior Group Accountant will be responsible for all internal and external consolidated statutory reporting, including the Group P&L, Balance Sheet and cashflow. You will have overall responsibility for the management of the Group consolidation of a £5bn turnover business with divisions around the world on a monthly and ad hoc basis, including providing detailed analysis of variances, advice on accounting treatments and the detailed reconciliation of FX.

As a Senior Group Accountant, you will be responsible for the continual improvement of the Group consolidation, improving both central and divisional processes as well as incorporating newly acquired businesses. You will also be responsible for the management and delivery of quarterly consolidated reforecast/plan balance sheet and cashflow models.

The Senior Group Accountant will be responsible for the accounting and statutory integration of new acquisitions, including the IFRS 3 fair value exercise, monthly reporting cadence and accounting policy alignment. You will be responsible for the capex reporting and Group level reconciliation including commentary, analysis and control for over £500m of fixed assets and £6bn of intangible assets.

This role offers a person with drive and ambition the opportunity to progress into wider areas of the business, with many acquisitions underway.

  • Have Advanced Excel skills
  • Preferably some experience of oracle Fusion
  • Organisation, time management skills and attention to detail
