Senior Fund Finance Manager - 12 month fixed-term contract
London, hybrid working available (2 days in London)
£80,000 - £90,000 + benefits

As a market leading alternative assets investment manager, this high-growth business manages assets for some of the world’s largest institutional investors and HNWI’s. With a focus on sustainable and diversified assets, they provide attractive returns whilst maintaining social returns and investments that benefit the planet. Continued and successful expansion through the growth of various renewable energy funds has created an opportunity for a graduate qualified accountant, to undertake a Senior Fund Finance Manager role. Individuals with experience in fund accounting would be highly valued for the Senior Fund Finance Manager role and any exposure or interest to renewables including wind, solar, geothermal and battery storage would be highly advantageous. Operating a hybrid working model and providing excellent career development opportunities across Europe and APAC, the business now seeks an experienced Fund accountant to step into a Senior Fund Finance Manager role to cover a maternity leave.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Fund Finance Manager:

  • Full ownership of the finance elements of interim and annual published reports
  • Provide regular update of funding requirements and detailed cash forecast including viability of new investment commitments to support investment decisions
  • Review of the quarterly board pack and presentation tp the board
  • Quarterly NAV calculations - review of overall quarterly NAV figure
  • Quarterly management accounts review for Fund and holding companies including all balance sheet items
  • Involvement with the funds tax planning, working alongside the tax agent to identity potential tax savings for the fund
  • Collating quarterly information from the portfolio managers to ascertain the fund’s EGL payments
  • Management of the Revolving credit facility, including debt servicing and the review of the quarterly management report distributed to the lenders
  • Monthly operational and financial reporting to fund managers

Skills & Attributes of the Senior Fund Finance Manager:

  • Qualified Accountant, ideally with a financial services background or fund management
  • Big 4 or Top10 experienced ACA / ACCA / CIMA candidates would be welcomed
  • Strong financial experience of complex structures (fund accounting), within a fund management environment
  • Business partnering mentality with experience of communicating with fund managers and investors
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and managerial skills
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
