My Client is a multi-disciplinary environmental and health and safety consultancy providing trusted advice and solutions to 'protect people and planet ’ through facilitating sustainable development.
They work with clients from multiple sectors including; industrial, commercial & residential developers, retailers, industrial manufacturers, fund managers, institutional investors, hi-tech companies, the public sector and charitable organisations. For the past 30 years, their team has provided a holistic suite of commercially astute environmental services and advice, designed to mitigate risk to both people and the environment, whilst removing the pain from planning or maintaining buildings and/or assets.
The role
Senior Flood Risk Consultant
We are seeking an experienced Senior Flood Risk Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in flood risk management, hydraulic modelling, and drainage strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake data analysis techniques and deliver projects autonomously.
- Guide and be responsible for the development of hydraulic models and flood risk management measures.
- Produce accurate flood risk GIS maps in QGIS or equivalent.
- Work across a range of areas, including hydrology, environmental impact, climate change assessment, and natural flood management.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in flood risk and drainage consultancy, with a good understanding of relevant regulatory processes and planning policy.
- Good knowledge of the planning system, in particular flood-related policy and guidance such as the NPPF and SuDS Manual.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
