Senior Fire Engineer

A thriving multi-disciplinary Fire Engineering consultancy, known for its commitment to excellence and innovation, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Fire Engineer to enhance their Shrewsbury team. This consultancy specialises in providing cutting-edge fire safety solutions across a range of sectors including residential, commercial, rail, and retail.

The Senior Fire Engineer's Role

The successful Senior Fire Engineer will become a pivotal member of a diverse team comprising 15 Fire Engineers, from graduates to chartered professionals. Your primary responsibilities will include leading on multiple UK and international projects. You will be instrumental in developing comprehensive fire strategies, delivering fire statements, conducting external wall surveys, fire risk assessments, and potentially engaging in CFD modelling.

In your role as a Senior Fire Engineer, you will also manage a small team, ensuring the seamless integration of fire engineering design support throughout all stages of the RIBA Plan of Work. Your expertise will help maintain the highest standards of safety and compliance on every project.

The Senior Fire Engineer

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Fire Engineering.
• Membership with the Institute of Fire Engineers.
• A BEng or CEng in Fire Engineering, or significant experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated ability in a client-facing environment, with experience in EWS-1 and PAS 9980.
• Familiarity with project and construction sites, providing expert advice on the implementation of designs.
