Senior Financial Controller - £75,000 - £80,000

Based in the Thames Valley area with occasional travel

Full Time - Weekdays and occasional weekend days

The Senior Financial Controller will have the confidence and skill set to implement standards and ensure the team’s ongoing compliance with the Company’s financial standard operating procedures. They will be familiar with the daily duties of a finance team and work. The ideal candidate has relevant experience of working within the head office of a company operating a number of branches.

Main Responsibilities

? Manage the day-to-day financial accounting function with a small accounts team

? The design and execution of key financial controls

? Maintain effective control systems to ensure all revenues and expenditures are correctly recorded.

? Provide financial insight into business activities

? Oversee daily accounting and monthly consolidated management accounts

? Review & identify areas of improvement in financial processes, controls & reporting

? Review and challenge financial performance information

? Manage cash flow and banking activities

? Support and guide on the preparation of annual budgets

? Responsibility for tax compliance, incl. UK VAT, PAYE settlements and other taxes

? Payroll - liaise with the external Payroll Bureau

? Month End and Year End GP and Margins reconciliations / analysis

? Complete spot-check internal audits across our branches

? Support ad hoc activities as requested

? Liasing with external auditors

Requirements

? ACA, ACCA preferred but not necessary

? Experience implementing processes and controls

? Demonstrable experience of being able to build relationships across all levels

? Able to think on your feet and adapt quickly

? Excellent experience using Excel for analysis and forecasting
