Senior Financial Controller / European Controller

As a senior member of the finance team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our financial landscape and ensuring seamless operations across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Manage a talented finance team, including financial accountants and assistant financial accountants. Your coaching and career development skills will be crucial in nurturing their growth.
• Financial Accounting: Take charge of financial accounting for our European entities. Approve journals, review balance sheet reconciliations, and ensure month-end processes run smoothly.
• Auditor Relations: Be the main point of contact for auditors (statutory, group, internal, SOX, and bank). Your expertise will ensure compliance and positive audit outcomes.
• Technical Support: Provide technical accounting guidance to your team and local businesses.
• SOX Compliance: Uphold the highest standards of SOX compliance in all processes and procedures.

Your Task:

• Efficiency Champion: Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive efficiency gains.
• Strategic Input: Contribute to the strategic planning of our department.
• Ad-Hoc Projects: Dive into exciting projects as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

• CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified: Your accounting qualifications are essential.
• Leadership Experience: Proven success in managing teams within a fast-paced, multi-regional environment.
• SAP Proficiency: Advantageous but not mandatory.
• Financial Acumen: Strong background in financial accounting.

Success Measures:

• Timely Reporting: Ensure accurate month-end reporting for all entities.
• Statutory Compliance: File statutory accounts within group deadlines without audit issues.
• SOX Excellence: Maintain impeccable SOX compliance and earn positive feedback from Internal Audit and Controllership teams.
• Process Improvements: Showcase your ability to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
• Effective Stakeholder Engagement: FP&A Lead, EMEA Controllership, AP Managers
