Pertemps are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Officer for a client based in Warick with public sector experience. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, including debits, credits, and account reconciliation processes. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with the ability to identify and correct errors in financial records and perform treasury management duties.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform account reconciliations from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Manage accounts receivable, including issuing credit notes and processing system updates.
Utilize accounting knowledge to maintain accurate financial records and statements.
Work closely with the treasury management team to assist in financial planning and analysis.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial reports and reconciliations.
Collaborate with other departments to improve financial procedures and systems.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in accounting, with a preference for candidates with LGPS experience.
Knowledge of working in the public sector or local authorities is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, including debits, credits, and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify errors in financial documents.
Proficient in using accounting software and systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the public sector or local authorities.

Hours: 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday
Hybrid working available (working one day in the office)
£16.26 per hour
